The Digital Services Team is looking for a Functional Application Analyst 1 to join our team and help support the growth of online services at the City of Surrey. The incumbent will work as part of the Digital Services team to provide analysis, guidance, functional support, testing, documentation, and training of the city's online services and the MySurrey suite of applications. Under direct supervision, the MySurrey FA1 provides functional application support for the suite of MySurrey Applications (Custom built and SAS Integrated) and ensures it meets the business needs of all end users. The incumbent will work in a complex multi-site organization providing guidance, support, and training for MySurrey and the connected services. Considerable judgment, problem solving ability and expertise is required to develop solutions within the MySurrey online service environment to operations issues and new business opportunities. Communication skills are critical to understand, interpret and explain technical issues that impact the business operations. Responsibilities
• As a MySurrey Functional Application Analyst 1 you will also work closely in a team environment to support, respond, investigate, prioritize and resolve integrated administrative, technical, or operating problems within the functional end user. • Work closely with departmental stakeholders (Enterprise FAs) to develop strong working relationships and to work closely to support their ongoing online service's needs. • You will act as a liaison with all stakeholders within IT and the business, for all online services system issues and solutions. • You will manage the resolution of all online services issues; provide ongoing support and training to all end users through training programs, one on one consultation, systems or procedural advice, etc. • Assist in supporting the City of Surrey Online Services roadmap and journey, as well as supporting the future growth of online services within the city. • Manage administrative configuration changes and security access to Digital tools (ex. Login Radius Access, Github, Zenhub, other UX and Digital Tools). • Support effective operational and management decision making using collection of metrics, reporting and analytics. • Maximizes integration between end user groups by analyzing business processes and recommending improvements where appropriate. • Assists in providing testing for MySurrey Projects and Continuous Improvement pipeline (Functional Testing for Custom Developed Projects, Smoke testing and Unit Testing where applicable) Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution, plus 2 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting; OR • Diploma in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution, plus 4 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting; OR • Technical courses in the field plus 6 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting.
