SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain is the fastest growing SAP cloud product enabling our customers to react quickly to changing customer demands and expectations, as well as unexpected changes to their supply chain due to external events or shortages. It is built on SAP HANA and the ABAP technology stack using the UI5-based SAP Fiori design system. Created by talented minds around the world, our goal is to deliver innovations for Supply Chain Planning.
As a development expert in IBP, you will be responsible for all development aspects-including concept, design, coding, testing and automation, performance, and maintenance-in an agile, distributed development team. IBP allows planners to adjust values and observe the effects on calculated values, making it highly useful for "what-if" analysis where many scenarios can be rapidly investigated.
You will be working on a web-based product offered as a cloud service. The product is highly successful, with over 1,600 large enterprise customers who value its stability, scalability, reliability, performance, usability, integration, and quality. What you'll do:
- Work independently or closely with architect and product owner on requirement analysis, concept, design, and effort estimation.
- Demonstrates full ownership for assigned/accepted tasks with excellent level of quality, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

- Communicate clearly and convey relevant messages in a timely manner.

- Expert level and broad overall product and technical knowledge that is recognized.

What you bring:
- Skills and Competencies Required:
- Good business English and intercultural competence.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
- Good grasp of object-oriented programming models, modularization, and abstraction.
- Positive, self-propelled can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in ABAP development, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex issues in existing and new code.
- Preferred:
- Demonstrated strong understanding of SAP technologies including ABAP and SAP HANA.
- Working knowledge of Scrum, Test Driven Development, performance testing, or data correctness/integrity testing.
- Experience in other programming languages (e.g., ABAP, Java, Python, or similar), relational databases, and source-code generation based on ontological models with 2-3 levels of abstraction is a plus.
- Experience with source control systems such as GIT, Gerrit, etc.
- Work Experience:
- 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise-grade software development building complex business applications.
- Know-how of the SAP software development process.
