Full Stack App Developer (React)

Our client is one of the leading sports and live entertainment companies and is based in Vancouver BC.  They have a range of businesses including Real Estate Development, Holdings and Construction, E-Commerce, Sports and Entertainment, Travel & Hospitality, Food & Beverage, and Agriculture. They are looking for a Full Stack App Developer (React) for their software development team. Someone who is up to date on new technologies and software development practices. Their team has the option to work from their head office in Vancouver or remotely anywhere in Canada in Pacific Time Zone.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $ 85,000 -100,000 per year
Location: Vancouver, BC (Remote available)

Responsibilities: 

• Develop mobile applications using cross-platform or hybrid mobile application frameworks
• Develop the best technical design and approach for the mobile apps
• Translate high-level product requirements into technical software specifications
• Plan and estimate development tasks and develop maintainable code that matches specifications
• Participate in software peer reviews as both author and reviewer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience in designing and implementing React Native mobile solutions
• 3+ years of experience with the React.js ecosystem and React Native/ Redux
• Experience in Node.js / Express.js
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins / BitBucket pipeline
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode
• Excellent knowledge in integration of services and JSON-based REST APIs
• Familiarity with automated testing suites, Jest UI testing, Mocha and Chai unit testing
• Experience with TestFlight and Firebase is a plus
• Knowledge of App deployment technologies like AppCenter is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Highly collaborative
• Is comfortable with ambiguity and change; enjoys working in a self-directed entrepreneurial work environment
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and results-driven
• Positive outlook, curious, desire to learn and grow
• Works with a sense of urgency
• Ability to multitask
