AWS IoT Greengrass offers an open source Internet of Things (IoT) edge runtime and a set of cloud services that helps customers build, deploy and manage IoT applications on millions of devices. Customers can use AWS IoT Greengrass to build software that enables devices to act locally on the data that they generate, run predictions based on machine learning models, and filter and aggregate device data.

AWS IoT Greengrass Console is used by customers to build, deploy and operate their Greengrass applications. We are looking for expereinced Front End Engineers to design and build the world class user experience for our customers. You will work closely with our UX design, product and Greengrass engineer teams to deliver best customer experience for our rapidly growing and diversified customer base. We have customers who are developers and operators, manages one to millions of devices and have different level of expertise in building the full stack IoT application. You will also get the opportunity to innovate on how to build coherent experience for all Greengrass offerings including the basic edge runtime, extensible software modules, device to device communication, data ingestion, and customer operational tools.

This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional front-end development.
• Skilled with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
• Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit/integration/performance testing, and a preference for agile development.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.


• Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences.
• Experience building reusable UX components or libraries.
• Understands how to optimize the delivery of code and assets to a browser or device.
• Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
