Position Overview:

As a manager you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the firmware team and coordinating with other teams such as the electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams. This is a technical position, and you will also be expected to provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.

Responsibilities include:
    • Supervise and manage execution of one or more scrum teams who develop camera firmware • Direct and coordinate Devices projects with other teams involved • Assist in making technical decisions based on data from team • Hire, train, review and mentor other engineers, developer and supporting staff • Create design documents on firmware architecture and algorithms • Review Marketing and Product Requirements Document during feasibility and development • Establish development process for all design and implementation tasks • Discuss and lay out project specifications • Review, approve, or modify product designs • Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications:
    • 6+ years of experience in a software or firmware development role • 2+ years of team leadership or management experience • Strong C and C++ design and programming skills for embedded applications • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline • Knowledge of digital imaging/photography and audio/video coding • Knowledge of digital video camera architecture

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
    • Experience in camera firmware development • Strong background in embedded development
