Working collaboratively with our teams in Utah, Ontario and based out of our Coquitlam Location, you will be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and analysis of actual results and for the distribution of all financial and management reports. You will also be responsible for financial modeling; cost benefit and various other analyses. Ideally you enjoy working collaboratively with a complex and broad group of stakeholders to solve problems and deliver results.

  • Managing and Expertise in preparing annual P&L budget process, monthly forecasts, analysis of COGS, marketing, IT and other operating expenses primarily for Exan and assisting as necessary with other business units within HSOne
  • Solid understanding of understanding of business strategy and trends to partner with executive and other stakeholders, from multiple business units, across the organization to lead monthly forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and act on financial information and external trends that contributes to business profitability
  • Ability to work collaboratively with accounting teams to own month-end actuals to budget/forecast variance analysis
  • Proven ability to support leadership decision making by providing analysis, commentary and measuring progress on budget & forecasting
  • Experience developing, working, and reporting on key performance measures and indicators
  • Provide financial analysis for other business units with HSOne on an ad-hoc basis
  • Demonstrated leadership to provide coaching and advice to help resolve problems
  • Adaptability and ability to flex and participate in special projects and perform other duties as required


  • 3+ years of experience with an emphasis on analysis and executive level communication
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Experience working in diverse, multi-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills, including effective writing and presentation skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills and techniques
  • Sound decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build partnerships across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability with effective problem resolution
  • Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting system and Management Reporter tools an asset
  • Dental, medical or software industry experience preferred but not required

MBA, CPA, CFA preferred but not required
