Job Description
Canadian Farms is looking for a trained Farm Machinery Operator who can perform the following duties:
- Operate farm equipment and machinery to till soil, plant, cultivate and harvest crops, and load and unload crops or containers of materials
- Operate specialized farm machinery including carrot harvester and self propelled potato machine
- Perform equipment and machinery maintenance
- Monitor equipment and machinery operations to detect malfunctions
- Follow safety procedures
- May perform minor repairs to farm equipment and machinery.
Employment Requirements are :
- Farm work experience Minimum 2 years
- Must have experience operating specialized ASA lift Carrot Harvestor experience and self propelling potato machine – 2 years
- Must be willing to work in remote locations
Employment Terms are :
- Permanent, Full time willing to work Overtimr, weekend, day, night or evening shifts.
- The company offers a wage rate of $23/hour with an opportunity to earn incremental pay raises, performance pay and bonuses (not guaranteed) upon performance evaluation at the discretion of the employer.
- High School Education is an asset.
- Basic English is preferred but not required.
