Position Overview: Job Summary:

This individual will be responsible for managing the longer term information requirements (analytics/data storage) for the Ecommerce Supply Chain group in alignment with Finning International Strategic imperatives. This person is responsible for the collaboration with several internal functions and stakeholders including parts supply chain team, finance, BP&S, Digital to develop analytical solutions and insights to convert data into information into insights into decisions.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Deliver on strategic initiatives with regards to data preparation, analysis and reporting in the Ecommerce Supply Chain group
  • Data Storytelling, providing business insight using visualization tools such as Tableau/Excel/SAS
  • Identify, lead, track and report improvement opportunities to deliver maximum business benefit through various ecommerce supply chain initiatives
  • E-commerce Supply Chain adhoc data request queue management
  • Monitoring existing and building new tech automation jobs for various business groups
  • Manage the team SharePoint site
  • Be accountable for support the strategic and operational projects as a Subject Matter expert and also as a project lead.
  • Develop various visualizations and reports to transform data into insights for the business groups
  • Be accountable to develop long term information needs and insights for the strategic imperatives of the Ecommerce Supply Chain group
  • Manage the portfolio of analytics projects
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality. Internal Stakeholder management and relationships will be the key responsibility for this person

Specific Skills & Knowledge:
  • Ideal candidate will have IT background and experience in business analytics along with a thorough understanding of e-commerce and Supply Chain
  • Display excellent organizational skills including the ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Have the drive to provide the highest level of customer service, and go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Be skilled at analyzing and synthesizing information to understand issues, identifying options, and support sound decision making

  • Strong Supply Chain and E-Commence knowledge with an effective blend of skills and knowledge across areas such data, best practices, finance, and lean concepts
  • Be proficient in querying various data sources using SQL with a good understanding of how data is organized in different data sources. Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract information irrespective of the database platform is a must
  • Be proficient in MS Office applications, advanced level in excel and internal systems. MRP or Infor ERP experience is a must
  • Ability to analyze business issues and identify the information needs to measure the size of the opportunity
  • Ability to map a business process and identify the Key Performance indicators to measure the process performance
  • Excellent Ability to adapt to new data analysis and data preparation tools. Skilled in analytics tools such as SAS, Tableau and Advanced Excel are required
  • Ability to create visual models and graphs from the data to tell a story to the business groups
  • Knowledge of statistical and predictive models
  • Have knowledge and awareness of functional interdependencies

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Advanced Business Degree would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 7 years of related work experience in end-to end supply chain management
  • Experience with multiple corporate systems is an asset
  • Experience working as part of large scale cross-functional initiatives within larger organizations with a proven track record of supporting the implementation of supply chain strategies
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish would be considered an asset
