We’re looking for an eCommerce Copy Editor that has it all. An eagle-eye for detail. One that can quickly and efficiently make changes to marketing copy, not only eliminating errors, but making the copy crisp and compelling. In this role, you will work with our Creative Team Project Manager and Chief Editor to ensure that all marketing copy is strong, effective, and error-free.

You should be a native English speaker who understands not only the laws of grammar and spelling, but also the fundamentals of writing for marketing. You should possess a creative mind that can make good copy great, and spin headlines that sell.

To excel in this role, you must be able to work under tight deadlines to meet the fast-paced eCommerce world. You should be able to work with different writers of different skillsets and make adjustments that turn people from curious to customers.

Previous experience in copy writing and editing is essential, as well as experience in eCommerce and marketing.


  • Editing various types of eCommerce copy, from landing pages to checkouts, to full-fledged eCommerce stores
  • Checking for and eliminating uncompliant copy and false claims by becoming familiar with a large line of different products in different verticals
  • Coming up with strategies to improve the grammatical and marketing aspects of the copy writing team as a whole
  • Ensuring graphic design, video, and the associated copy work together in harmony to best showcase the product
  • Writing compelling copy on your own from time to time, as required by the team

  • Understanding of Jira and other project management systems an asset
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strong critical-thinking skills
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM, compliance, media buying, social media platforms, and analytics tools an asset
  • A passion for and understanding of eCommerce and a willingness to dive deep into any vertical
