The Director, Strategy & Market Analytics will help drive our strategic intent and increase our digital connectivity in the Canadian health ecosystem by:
    •Providing leadership for TELUS Health's organization strategy, annual operating planning and market & competitive intelligence capability •Driving the development, implementation and alignment of the organization's strategic, operational and analytics planning and support activities •Building a capability for the advanced use of data and analytics to support strategy, operations and performance measurement and analytics informed decision-making across the organization as it relates to the markets we invest in and the growth strategies that we employ
Here's how

You will lead the Strategy & Market Analytics function to define the TELUS Health enterprise strategy and translate them into high-impact goals and roadmaps to enable execution. You will provide empowering leadership to your high performing teams and you will proactively develop and nurture relationships, partnerships and strategic initiatives with a broad range of internal/external stakeholders in support of the organization's strategic and operational goals.

Your responsibilities include:
    •Building, leading and managing a diverse team, including talent decisions, performance management, resource management, work allocation, and career progression •Leading corporate strategic planning, and roadmaps to enable THPS to deliver long term sales and profit growth, and conducting strategic portfolio planning and portfolio optimization to align with THPS growth strategy •Lead and maximize impact of the organization's strategy planning role and functions, including the facilitation/development, implementation and measurement of the organizations strategic and operational plans and related activities •Building a market and competitive intelligence capability to gather market information, analyze growth and potential market disruption to inform investment decisions •Act as a high-quality strategy planning and analytic resource to the Health Board, Senior Leadership team, program leads/teams and for strategic partnerships and/or committees •Work closely with leaders of market units to align strategic plans with customer feedback and preferences, market direction and market unit capabilities •Provide ongoing strategic intelligence (trends, policy, evidence) to the Senior Leadership Team and identify strategic partnerships and/or funding opportunities to proactively support the organization's mandate and strategic initiatives •Acting as a spokesperson and subject matter expert for THPS and at internal and external events and conferences •Negotiating and supporting strategic partnership agreements for THPS in the implementation and execution of the strategic plan •Leading the government relations function as part of the Strategy Office



Qualifications:

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

Your experience includes
    •10+ years' experience in developing corporate strategy for similar sized corporations •3-5 years of people management experience
Nice to have
    •Experience in management consulting is an asset •Experience in digital healthcare is an asset
Your skills/knowledge includes
    •Knowledge of developing evidence-based strategy •Expertise in business analysis techniques •Ability to think strategically and develop long-term business and strategic plans •Ability to think critically and problem solve in a fast paced, dynamic environment •Collaboration and strategic relationship-building skills with internal and external parties •Knowledge of healthcare industry highly preferred
You possess
    •Bachelor Degree (business, engineering, or computer science); MBA a strong asset
