As part of the TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) organization, the Customer Relationship & Solutions Management (CRSM) team is responsible for supporting our sales organization and advocating for our customers. From ownership of our deal pursuit and bid processes, through to technical solutioning, project management and managing customer relationships, the team focuses on accelerating our capability to support our business products and services, while taking ownership of account profitability and driving best-in-class revenue assurance practices for the mutual support of both our customers and our business.

As the Director of Sales Solutions for Mid-Market Business, you will lead, coach and develop a national team of Customer Systems Engineering Specialists supporting our Mid-Market, Mid-Market & Small and Small Business Solutions (SBS) customers. Working closely with our sales organization and stakeholders across the business, you will support the team in providing strong technical expertise and developing innovative solutions to drive the right outcomes for both our customers and our business.

    •Lead a team of Technology Architect professionals focused on providing pre-sales support to the sales team to drive profitable revenue consistent with TELUS' capabilities and corporate strategy •Leverage your strong business acumen to assess and advance large complex opportunities, including participation in the bid governance process •Develop strong partnerships with sales and other key stakeholders to drive strategy refinement and solution development, as well as the enhancement of our pricing, provisioning, service and approval processes •Offer thought leadership on the future of technology in our industry including transformation, innovation, visionary trends and practices •Act as a strong ambassador for the TELUS organization and uphold the values and behaviors of a senior leader in the business and throughout the extended community


Qualifications:

    Effective Leader:
      •Demonstrated leadership skills with extensive experience in building and developing highly successful teams within large complex organizations •Regarded for being a strong communicator who is able to effectively articulate the vision, goals and strategic imperatives of the business and act as an enabler for feedback •Valued for your bias for action
    Technology & Sales Driver:
      •Demonstrated mastery of solutioning methodologies and frameworks with the ability to identify and understand customer strategic needs relative to solution possibilities •Regarded as an expert in the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry: wide area network (WAN), voice, local area network (LAN), contact center, Information Technology (IT), data centers •Proven record in strategic selling to internal and external customers •University degree in Business or Engineering and 10+ years of experience in the telecommunications and/or IT industry
    Experience Business Professional:
      •Known for creating compelling visions of financial and project-based opportunities •Possess a detailed understanding of the sales and bid governance processes and a proven track record of achieving sustainable, profitable business results •University degree or equivalent experience at a senior level with 5 to 10 years of experience leading teams in a frontline customer environment

Great-to-haves
    •Experience working in a customer-facing vendor or vendor management role •Project management certification •Professional Sales certification/s
