In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of the Northern Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at NHA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. In accordance with established policies, standards and procedures, the Staff Diagnostic Neurophysiology Technologist performs digital Electroencephalograms (EEG) procedures in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients; performs Evoked potential procedures (EPs), Ambulatory Monitoring (AM), Intraoperative monitoring and prepares preliminary test reports for use in medical diagnosis.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00

New Wage: As of April 1, 2023, the new wage is: $35.18 - $43.91/hour

University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest acute care facility (268 beds) in Northern Health and is the hub for specialized health services. It is a full service hospital and home to a new cancer centre for Northern BC, including a wide range of cancer treatments. Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia. Qualfications
•Graduation from and approved Electrophysiology Course with certification or a hospital-based training program from and approved institution or an equivalent combination of education. Training and experience applicable to the Hospital.
•Registration with the Canadian or American Board of Registration for Electroencephalograph Technologists (R.E.T. or R.EEG T.).
