What will your typical day look like? As a Microsoft 365 Developer in our Content Services practice, you will help our clients solve some of their most difficult business challenges and enable their digital transformation agenda through the configuration and development of application functionality in Office 365, focusing on SharePoint Online / Teams / OneDrive. You will work within a framework of SDLC methodologies (agile or waterfall) to implement required components, perform unit testing and support defect resolution arising from functional, integrated, and performance testing, and develop depth in leading practices related to delivering maintainable, high-performing solutions for clients based on strategic software platforms.
In this position, you will create component technical designs based on established solution architecture and business / functional requirements (for solutions) or established business rules and data mappings (for migration); configure solution or migration tool functionality according to approved designs; develop solution components; conduct unit testing to verify and correct the behaviours of configured or developed functionality; and use SDLC tools for effective management of source code, configuration artifacts, defects, risks and issues; You will also support release management, operations and QA resources to ensure that issues identified are reproduced and resolved in a timely manner.
About the team Content Services is a Deloitte sub-offering focused on providing organizations with a front- and back-office transformation of their information management operations, processes, and technology. Our team focuses on capabilities that include document and records management, information architecture, content migration, digitization, and integrations with a broader information ecosystem, helping our clients make the most effective use of their information: creating value, avoiding costs, and reducing risks.
Enough about us, let's talk about you As a Developer, you are someone with:
- Foundational Capabilities (3-5 years):
- Knowledge and understanding of Office 365 / SharePoint Online / Teams / OneDrive concepts and configuration
- Basic Object Oriented development and scripting knowledge
- Data modelling and configuration knowledge with a variety of backend stores - e.g. Microsoft SQL Server / Azure Data Services (SQL DB, Cosmos, etc)
- Understanding of CS fundamentals including data modelling and design, and performance troubleshooting
- Developer Capabilities (some subset of these - 3-5 years):
- .NET development and scripting experience (C# and PowerShell)
- Web Service development and integration experience (REST and SOAP)
- Data Integration - SSIS / Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tool
- Unit testing experience
- Experience with structured SDLC management tools including such as Azure DevOps
- Front End Experience - HTML5 / CSS / JS preferred
- Native Mobile Experience (e.g. iOS, Android) preferred
