IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking a Database Architect (Cloud) to join our client in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze on premise database environments such as DB2 and SQL Server, evaluate and plan migrations to Azure.
  • Develop test plan and test cases to demonstrate database readiness post migration.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and SLAs are met.

 

Top Skills Required

  • 10+ years of experience in database development and migration.
  • 7+ years of experience with application transformation and modernization & data migrations projects
  • Expert in Azure database technologies with hands on development experience
  • Working knowledge of SSIS integration and data replication between SQL Server/DB2, as well as Azure/on-prem SQL Server products
  • Experience in Database Administration – backup/restore, replication, performance optimization, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study and 12+ years of related work experience
  • Must reside in BC during the contract period even when working remotely and be ready to report to the office when remote work is over
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
