IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking a Database Administrator to join our client in Vancouver, BC.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues/problems related to applications, databases, and associated tools;
  • Deal with clients in a courteous, respectful and professional manner;
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing;
  • Work closely with other DBAs in a team environment; and communicate with team members in an effective way;
  • Work independently and be accountable for tasks;
  • Prioritize and manage work tasks and achieve results within agreed time frames; and
  • Conduct research, risk analysis and recommend appropriate strategies/solutions.


Top Skills Required

  • A degree or diploma in information technology, computer science, or similar field preferred, or has an equivalent combination of experience, training & education;
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience with MS SQL Server 2012 or later including:
    • database configuration, backup setup, and database monitoring.
  • Database troubleshooting, performance tuning, optimization, and index and statistics maintenance;
  • SQL Server database security patches verification and deployment;
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
