Key Responsibilities:

Working in an established world-class contact center in Burnaby, BC that offers excellence in post-sales support for TELUS products and services, you will provide world-class technical and non-technical support in a call center environment to our customers. You will also interpret customer requirements and communicate solutions, while ensuring excellent customer service by communication with the internal team, and/or ensure and appropriately transfer to the responsible department when required.

Note: Not suitable for students.

The Customer Help Representative call center operates 7 days a week. Shifts are scheduled based on a set rotation and posted 5 weeks in advance. Currently the hours of operation are:
    •7:30 AM to 9:15 PM, Monday to Friday, latest shift ends at 9:15 PM •8:00 AM to 8:15 PM, Saturday, latest shift ends at 8:15 PM •8:00 AM to 8:15 PM, weekends & holidays, latest shift ends at 8:15 PM

Please note: This is a regular, part-time position with the potential to be scheduled full time hours. Full time availability: 37.5 hours per week, is required.

Our next scheduled class will be February 2019.

There is 8 weeks, full-time paid training for which you must be available to attend.


Qualifications:


Required Skills, Abilities, and Attributes:
    •Experience working in a customer service environment: retail, call center, IT support •Excellent communication skills •Positive, friendly attitude •Understanding and/or experience in the sales process •Ability and aptitude to learn new processes and systems •Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision in a fast-paced environment •Ability to multi-task •Ability to analyze data, utilize problem-solving skills, and recommend solutions

Assets:
    •Post-secondary education in a technical or operating systems support role •Working knowledge of the Internet, Internet technologies, and e-mail, as well as Windows and other operating systems •Familiarity with trouble reporting systems •Familiarity with voice and data/Internet Protocol (IP) products and services •Aptitude for recognizing and creating sales leads
