Ballard has an immediate opportunity for a
Customer Care Technician for Special projects as well as on site support as required at Transit Bus locations. The successful applicant will be responsible for technical support and to maintain Ballard products. Ballard products range from 30kw to 200 kw and are integrated into buses and trucks.
Responsibilities: - On site and remote field support of Special Projects as well as Fuel cell Electric Buses, including installing, troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance repairs
- Provide recommendations to customer for service improvements and repairs
- Accurately and completely maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
- Provide excellent customer service to current and new customers
Requirements: - 5+ years of Field support of Fuel cell products and Fuel cell Electric Buses in a Transit setting or similar
- Post secondary degree in either a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
- Advanced troubleshooting skills on Electric Transit Buses
- Knowledge of Fuel cells and their operation is an asset
- Electrical knowledge and hands on experience with troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of Electrical and Mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and drawings as well as PID loop drawings
- Computer competency with different programs such as Windows, Word, Excel, Vantage point and numerous other computer programs.
- Ability to complete and submit reports and work documents in a timely fashion is required
- Strong communication skills within the Ballard organization as well as with our customers
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
