Position Information
Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
Hourly: $52.41 to $114.65 per hour Per Three Credit Course: $7,716.
Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
The Mathematics Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Douglas College is seeking sessional instructors who are available to teach for the 2026/2027 academic year to add to their Contract Faculty list.
The successful candidate(s) must be able to teach face-to-face classes at either one of the two Douglas College Campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

WHAT IT TAKES
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner-centered instruction.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics from an accredited university and relevant post-secondary teaching experience.

The department is seeking excellent mathematics instructors, with a demonstrated ability to motivate students with problems in learning mathematics, while also being able to support and challenge students interested in pursuing careers in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
