Computer Network Technician – Level 1

The Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) is looking for qualified candidates interested in the above position working in the IT Department.  Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, this position works closely with the other technicians and systems analysts within the department and performs technical hands-on work investigating, analyzing, assisting and completing the repair and maintenance of district computers and printing equipment.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate in Computer Sciences/Information Systems or a recognized Microsoft, or Apple designation
  • Minimum two years IT experience and a strong familiarity with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Mac OS X and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Apple Certification with successful completion of Desktop Hardware, Portable Hardware, and Operating Systems tests
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
  • Sufficient physical strength, health and coordination to handle and transport moderately heavy equipment
  • Valid BC Driver’s license

 

LOCATION:  IT DEPARTMENT

HOURS:  40 HOURS PER WEEK - 12 MONTHS PER YEAR

RATE OF PAY:  $23.71 PER HOUR
