Do you want to make a difference with our customers and TELUS as pre-sales business development Complex Solutions Consultant? You will lead and be accountable for the development of complex integrated bids across a broad range of TELUS' capabilities: Information Technology (IT), data, voice, applications & wireless.

The Complex Solutions Consultant is a customer-facing sales support role requiring the ability to interface effectively with our enterprise & mid-market customers as well as internal TELUS stakeholders in order to orchestrate and enable the creative development of large complex solutions that result in winning propositions to our clients, that address their business needs, yet are profitable and support TELUS business goals and imperatives.

The role will require engagement with the account team and customers to analyze their business from which to derive the ability to recommend complex solutions to resolve specific business needs. Additionally, you will be accountable for the development of opportunity pursuit plans by leveraging industry and customer insight to ensure TELUS has a winning sales strategy. This will also be accomplished by providing best-in-class business consulting expertise and solution development leadership to the account and stakeholder teams within a prescribed corporate solution & governance framework.

The Complex Solutions Consultant will be responsible for multifaceted deals typically in the $2M to 25M range, which will vary in complexity.

As part of the Business Solutions West (BSW) & Business Customer Experience (BCX) organization, the Customer Relationship & Solutions Management (CRSM) team is the engine that fuels BSW & BCX. We combine sharp business acumen with an energetic approach to solve unique business challenges in our CRSM teams accountable for deal pursuit and bid processes, technical solutioning, client project management and client relationship management.

Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Exceptional persuasion skills which will be used to construct a convincing business case; express it clearly and gain consensus around decisions, plans and actions in relation to both the customer and TELUS stakeholders •Ability to speak the language of stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suite level •Ability to lead cross-functional teams to maintain effective relationships across TELUS and other organizations, which may be called on in the future •Advanced presentation skills: Design, deliver and effective present one-to-one or in a group environment •Ability to manage and translate objectives into actions, which are specific, measurable, and achievable with realistic timelines •Ability to work effectively with shifting demands and rapid change •Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor a significant number of functions and tasks simultaneously •Exceptional listening and communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders in a variety of settings •Effective negotiation skills •Ability to grasp and apply technical concepts quickly •Effectively assessing and articulating competitive position versus TELUS, can speak confidently to TELUS' ability to support sales strategy, recommending alternatives as appropriate •Ability to pursue issues to resolution in a timely and appropriately diplomatic manner •High level proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office specifically PowerPoint, Excel & Word •Proven track record of being capable of offering a mix of tactical and strategic approaches •Business or technology related university degree or equivalent •Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in successful consulting, selling or marketing of complex telecommunication or IT solutions, ideally in a customer facing role •Experience coordinating large projects and/or complex solution integrations across multiple operational and functional teams •Experience in multiple functional areas of TELUS or similar organization/s

Great-to-haves
    •Knowledge and/or certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles •Knowledge, certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or related project management skills •Experience managing diverse teams, either direct reports or in a matrix relationship •Technical knowledge of telecommunication services and solutions
