Are you interested in applying your talents and knowledge and gaining valuable experience to support worker health and safety? We are looking for a co-op student to assist the Database Services department with ensuring the integrity of our databases and help resolve complex technical database problems encountered by the database administrators and developers. You will be part of a team that is instrumental in ensuring data is available and secure for users across our organization. This is an eight-month student position starting September 2022.

What you'll do

As a Database Co-op Student, you will:
  • Assist in the maintenance, configuration and support of database instances.
  • Collaborate and support the team by contributing to operations and functions of the Database Management Systems.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, plan and execute tasks in collaboration with other team members and service providers.

We're looking for someone who can:
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Analyze and demonstrate critical thinking to problem-solve solutions
  • Demonstrate self-motivation by creating and executing plans
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail

Your experience and educational background:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in math, statistics, computer science, or in a related program.
  • Experience with SQL server is required.
  • Previous co-op experience is preferred.
