TELUS Health is looking for a Registered Psychologist experienced in working with Child and Youth populations to join our amazing multi-disciplinary team in our new Centre for Excellence in Mental Health. The clinician's primary role is to enhance and promote the psychological wellbeing and mental health of children and youth seen in a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare setting. Depending on clinical interests, level of experience, and training, the clinician may treat a wide variety of concerns including but not limited to: anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment to health conditions, behavioural concerns, parenting challenges, peer relationship/interpersonal difficulties, and emotion regulation concerns. The role may also involve completing psychoeducational assessments with children and youth (with psychometry support). There are opportunities to work with children, youth, parents, and families. Additionally, the clinician may be expected to provide workshops, webinars, and group support. Services are offered in-person and virtually.

Our team is looking for people who are compassionate, positive, comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and who practice excellent evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment of children and youth. Clinicians must follow the codes of ethics and standards set forth by the College of Psychologists of BC, Canadian Psychological Association, and Health Professions Act. The clinician is expected to adhere to Telus Health care processes and procedures for confidentiality, billing, documentation, scheduling, and use of the electronic medical record.


Qualifications:

    •Minimum 3 years of clinical work experience •Experience treating eating disorder is an asset •DBT skills training is an asset •Fully licensed to practice in the jurisdiction of the position •Is knowledgeable and skilled in treating conditions commonly seen in primary care settings •Multidisciplinary experience an asset •Responsible and committed to client care •Must be professional and respect confidentiality at all times •Strong communication skills both written and oral •Comfortable collaborating and working as part of a team •Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program •Current and active member registration with the provincial governing body for Registered Psychologists

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:
    •You will be required to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting. Typically, you would work office hours however; some flexibility may be required to accommodate clinical care needs. •The usual expectation is an eight hour day with an additional half hour for lunch.
