As the Business Systems Analyst, Supply Chain, you'll partner with the Supply Chain Team and other business units, as well as IT Teams, to deliver and provide ongoing support for our Supply Chain systems and other corporate systems as needed.

A day in the life of the Business Systems Analyst includes:

Analysis, Solution Definition and Support
  • Communicate with cross-functional departments to gather business requirements, user stories and specifications to map out process workflows.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with users from various business units to provide enhancements to system functionality.
  • Support, enhance, and maintain business applications to assure their availability, reliability, performance, and fit evolving requirements. Effectively resolve production problems in a timely manner
  • Monitor and respond to support requests that are escalated from the application support team.
  • Document incident and problem resolutions and communicate with affected parties.

Design and Testing
  • Maintain and update Functional Specifications for system enhancements and other functionality relevant to Canfor's enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop system solutions to address new and evolving business requirements.
  • Document detailed specifications and communicate detailed solutions with the business to obtain approval for enhancements requiring code changes.
  • Develop accurate and complete test scenarios based on requested system changes.
  • Perform functional unit testing to ensure that system changes are working as designed and do not have a detrimental impact to any existing system functionality.
  • Support the QA group during user acceptance testing of enhancements and system issues.
  • Support the identification, documentation, remediation, testing and implementation of system issues.

Training, User Education and Support
  • Participate in the development of change management plans to support high adoption of new solutions
  • Develop or support the business in developing appropriate training materials when required.
  • Support the monitoring and resolution of issues identified by integrity reports and other error notifications.

For this role, you'll come equipped with:
  • University degree (Business, Management Information Systems or Computer Science) from a recognized university and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in implementing, optimizing and/or supporting business systems.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology an asset.
  • Proven capability to accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.
  • Experience with Oracle JDE preferred.
  • Oracle Transportation Management required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate supply chain processes.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting business processes.
  • Lumber or Pulp manufacturing industry experience is an asset.
  • Take responsibility for self-development and continuous learning to achieve required knowledge for the job

The salary range for this position is: $79,450.00-$113,500.00
