You are an analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solver who effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment. You are a natural leader who influences others to perform, regardless of your position in the organizational chart. Logical and efficient, you are an active listener whose brain is naturally wired to work on multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
In this fast-paced world of technology, you always have your finger on the pulse of the industry!
As the Business Systems Analyst, you support, maintain, and enhance Canfor Pulp's business applications to assure their availability, reliability, and performance. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to support requests for systems to ensure all service level agreements are met or exceeded. This position is a combination of managing both projects and tickets, and is perfect for your querying skills using SQL. You provide the necessary analyses, requirement gathering, and project management oversight to deliver projects on time and on budget as well as develop test plans to confirm solution readiness, coordinate user testing, document progress, and correct issues.
You'll participate in efforts to establish our system roadmaps, consolidate, and eliminate system where needed, assist in developing governance guidelines, and present information through reporting and dash-board tools. You've been around the business systems "block" a few times and as such, are comfortable working with legacy applications; at times providing support for "expired" programs.
In a perfect world, you are equipped with a university degree in business, management information systems or computer science and/or a technical diploma with systems and business experience. You also have experience using Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management, Elixir, IP.21, Data Warehouse and Oracle SQL Server databases and toolsets (PL/SQL, TOAD). Familiarity with pulp manufacturing or manufacturing operations and experience with reporting and BI toolsets (Crystal Reports, Power BI) would "level up" your application.
If you have excellent written and oral communication, a keen attention to detail and are eager to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional, collaborative environment, "click" that apply button today!
