We are currently seeking a Business Sys. Analysis Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

Why the Role Is Important:

In this role the Sr. Business Analyst is critical to the process that drives the end-to-end definition business requirements related to a new or existing event or process. This may include redesigning existing processes that supports continuous improvements in service, support, and performance measures. Finally, your guidance will help less experienced developers grow in their development skills resulting in an overall better team.

Once You Are Here, You Will:

• Identify and collaborate with various stakeholders and perform analysis to understand operations, structure, and departmental policies, and identify and analyze use cases to derive detailed functional requirements along with test cases.
• Conduct requirements workshops such as Joint Requirements Planning (JRP) and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions in which requirements owners work in collaboration to explore user needs and agree on requirements.
• Perform business analyses of requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
• Develop various textual, digital, and visual artefacts, including context diagrams, mock-ups, use case and user interface models, user stories, conceptual data models, business process models, schedules, prioritized requirements catalogue, business rules catalogue and prototypes.
• Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems, modifications to the automated processes.
• Define and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives, interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems; identify modifications that may be required to automated processes and write gap analysis documents.
• Identify candidate business processes for re-design, prototype potential solutions, provide trade-off information and suggest a recommended course of action; and
• Establish acceptance test criteria with client and assist with and/or participate in User Acceptance Testing, documenting any identified issues.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years working with the Public Sector
• 5+ years' experience delivering projects and working in an AMS model
• Hold a professional accreditation in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)) or have completed a postsecondary program and obtained a Certificate in Business Analysis.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
