Here's an opportunity to transform how Amazon moves packages through its network by optimizing and automating scheduling and forecasting of truck loads. Our team is developing complex optimization and machine learning algorithms, so that we have loads scheduled at the right time and right building and utilize those fully.
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to gather insights and optimization for Scheduling and forecasting of middle loads, under the roof operations, and Network Management. This position requires innovative thinking, ability to quickly approach large ambiguous problems and apply analytical expertise to rapidly mine data to and deliver insights. As part of this role, you will work cross-functionally with transportation, tech, operations and finance. Successful candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
As a BIE, you will research performance data, discover and solve real world problems, build metrics and business cases to make strategic business recommendations. We are focused on your success and want to build and support passionate innovators within Amazon's Middle Mile. You can expect to have full ownership of the projects you work on.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Perform complex data analysis to identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment costs as well as improve efficiencies and customer experience
• Design, develop and establish KPIs to provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance
• Ability to perform/own reoccurring and ad-hoc business intelligence projects
• Develop standardized metrics to evaluate and benchmark pertaining to short and long term network planning and forecasting
• Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• 3+ years analyzing and interpreting data and experience with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years in relevant experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in problem-solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis.
• Experience in data mining, SQL, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
• Master's degree in BI, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field required
