Description

You will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for our Account Executives and Channel Sales teams. In this role, you will drive demand for Absolute products and solutions by identifying potential customers, qualifying outbound leads, and setting appointments.

You are a competitive and motivated self-starter who enjoys people and displays empathy for business challenges. As the "front door" to our sales organization, you must be comfortable and display technical competence when speaking to senior contacts in large enterprise organizations.

Your success in this role will be determined by activity levels, forecast accuracy, quality of leads passed and accepted by Sales, number of appointments set, and influenced pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Prospecting
    • Cold call into new target accounts in assigned territories or industries
    • Data-mine high potential accounts, identify key contacts to engage
    • Maintain daily quotas for outbound calling and email campaigns
    • Identify customers' current IT situation, challenges, and needs
    • Qualify prospects against established criteria by phone, email, and live chat, prior to passing them to inside reps, field reps, or partners as sales-qualified leads (SQLs)
  • Comply with all lead-management-related service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts to the marketing and sales organizations on the volume of leads expected to achieve SQL status
  • Track and manage qualification and nurture activities in Salesforce
  • Participate in sales initiatives and develop related knowledge:
    • Attend sales training sessions
    • Develop expert knowledge of Absolute products/services and internal systems
    • Contribute to a customer-focused environment that encourages information sharing, team-based sales activity, with a strong focus on acquisition and retention
    • Stay current on - and contribute to the refinement of - Absolute's lead management processes and product and service value propositions

What You Will Bring:
  • Completion of a university/college program, with a focus on business, sales, or marketing
  • Sales experience preferred, but willing to train and enable
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in utilizing an entrepreneurial approach while creatively prospecting for net new business
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong active listening skills to assess prospects needs and opportunities
  • Excellent customer-engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to perform prospect and account research to prepare for calls
  • Ability to interpret data from marketing campaigns to personalize outbound communications
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Discipline to maintain high call/email volumes (minimum 40 per day)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; highly adaptable to new circumstances

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the technology industry
  • Experience with CRM platforms, with preference given to Salesforce
  • Familiarity with social selling best practices
