Partner Management is a small, high impact and engaged team that drives value for our customers and shareholders through the oversight and enablement of the 3rd party partner organizations that deliver install and repair services to TELUS' residential wireline customers.

We work with four strategic vendors to enable customer service delivery across British Columbia (BC), Alberta and Saskatchewan, making a difference for hundreds of thousands of customers via a focus on high quality outcomes, labour flexibility and collaborative partnerships to enable win-win outcomes for both TELUS and our partners.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish

As the Business Consultant responsible for Field Sales & Work Completion, you will be the catalyst for driving an evolution in our contractor field workforce with the goal of achieving successful completion on every job as well as the creation of a new, highly effective sales channel.

You will work collaboratively with our broader team, internal TELUS stakeholders and partner organizations to identify, plan and execute initiatives that will tackle both the macro and tactical obstacles to our success.

Ultimately, through your efforts to support our 1,000 strong contractor technician workforce, you will help TELUS achieve its wireline subscriber goals and drive millions of dollars in value to our top line.

Here's how

Enabled by your team mates within Partner Management, you will:
    •Establish and build strong working relationships with the leadership in our partner organizations, building trust and respect as you work collaboratively with them to understand, investigate and address the root cause obstacles faced by our technicians in their goal of successful work completion and uptake of sales behaviours •Conduct detailed analyses to identify opportunities to tackle these obstacles, framing up and executing on a formal program of initiatives to drive changes to contracts, processes, systems and training •Engage in all aspects of transformation, including analysis, business casing, initiative planning, implementation and benefits assessment, rallying peers and other stakeholders to achieve our objectives


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •As a proactive self-starter, you are comfortable leveraging your strong business acumen and very strong communication and interpersonal skills to operate independently, working with senior leadership from the partner organization to advance business objectives •Degree in Business, Engineering, or the Sciences that informs your structured approach to problem solving and enables you to frame a problem, hypothesize on solutions and then leverage your team mates to deliver on measurable outcomes •At least 5 years of experience working on solving business problems with senior leadership, including experience in any of the fields of telecommunications, sales, management consulting or related industries

Great-to-haves
    •Prior experience in wireline telecommunications, field service delivery and/or vendor management •Degree in Business, in particular an Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, that will provide a strong foundation of knowledge •Certificate/s or other practical work experience/s in the area of project management will assist the successful candidate in framing and delivering on the objectives of this role
