As a Business Analyst, you are responsible for defining the development of software applications by translating sometimes vague user requirements into precise software specifications, resource estimates and schedules. This position works closely with the software development staff, including the Product Owner, Software Developers, QA Analysts and Technical Writers, as well as working directly with internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Write software specifications for complex features, usually in terms of multiple features
  • Analyze reporting requirements of multiple customers and interpret into generic product requirements for standard reports that can be used across the entire customer base
  • Analyze complex regulatory documents and translate those regulations into requirements for a software solution
  • Influence without authority to help the product owners and product managers shape multiple product roadmaps


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with healthcare software applications or other similar enterprise software
  • Ability to write and understand SQL against a complex schema
  • Experience with reporting frameworks such as SSRS, JReports or Tableau
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tell good design from bad
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
