Business Analyst

$61,665.45 - $70,367.02 annually plus 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment.

Experienced and capable in a high volume and fast paced environment, the Business Analyst provides business analysis, testing and project management services to the Ministry of Finance program areas. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills that prove invaluable as they meet with clients to understand program needs and priorities as well as manage system changes throughout the systems development life cycle (e.g. root cause analysis, requirements, development, acceptance testing, change management and implementation). 

This key role is one that requires a strong knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle, business analysis techniques, project management methodologies and business and system testing experience. Once the successful applicant has successfully completed a 6 month probation period, a one day per week, working from home option is available. 

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Degree, diploma, certificate in the computer science field or related discipline; 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience providing end to end business analysis for key front line systems. Experience should include business process redesign and process mapping.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using project management methodologies.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
