Spank Clothing & Accessories Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Owner / Director in the daily management of our boutique clothing store. We are looking for someone who can combine strong retail floor leadership with practical experience in merchandising, customer service, inventory coordination, and support for store development initiatives, including online sales activities.

Role Summary
The successful candidate will assist in supervising staff, maintaining daily store operations, supporting merchandising and inventory flow, and helping ensure a consistent and polished customer experience. In addition to core retail operations, the role may also support product presentation, online sales coordination, and store promotional activities.

Key Duties

• Assist with daily retail operations, including opening, closing, floor supervision, and staff coordination
• Help supervise and support sales staff in delivering strong customer service
• Assist with onboarding, training, and weekly scheduling
• Maintain merchandising standards, visual presentation, and seasonal product displays
• Monitor stock movement, carry out cycle counts, and prepare basic inventory and sell-through information for management review
• Support the rollout and presentation of developing product lines, including men’s apparel
• Assist with online order handling, product listing support, and customer follow-up
• Support the Owner / Director with store promotional initiatives, including basic social media, online marketing, and digital merchandising tasks
• Coordinate day-to-day operational needs with couriers, maintenance providers, or other local service contacts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail supervision, assistant management, or progressively responsible retail operations roles
• Strong customer service, communication, and team support skills
• Experience in boutique, apparel, fashion, or specialty retail preferred
• Familiarity with merchandising, inventory control, and POS systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment
• English required

Preferred Assets

• Experience with social media promotion, product posting, or online retail support
• Good sense of apparel merchandising, product presentation, and seasonal assortment support
• Familiarity with internationally sourced apparel products, supplier coordination, or product sourcing support
• Additional language ability is an asset; career-minded candidates who are adaptable and receptive to on-the-job training are preferred
