What- the Role:The Accounts Payable Administrator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function through the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintenance of organized financial records. This position supports vendor payments, reconciliations, expense processing, month-end activities, and general accounting administration while contributing to strong internal controls and overall operational efficiency.
- Process invoices, expense claims, deposits, and various financial transactions accurately and within established timelines
- Prepare and coordinate vendor payments while maintaining accurate vendor information within the accounting system
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and transaction-related matters
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as required
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes, including audit preparation and supporting documentation
- Provide administrative and accounting support related to financial recordkeeping, filing, and reporting
- Support payroll and other finance-related processes as needed
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ongoing enhancements to financial systems and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with organizational policies, internal controls, and security practices
- Provide occasional general administrative support to the broader team as required
- Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting support roles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and maintain confidentiality
Base salary commensurate with level of experience in the range of $60-65K, 3 weeks’ vacation + benefits, RRSP contribution.
Where:Vancouver – hybrid working model of two days’ onsite.
