Position Details

Employment Term: 3 years

Hourly Wage: $50.00 to 55.00

Weekly Hours: 30 to 40

Location of Work: Delta, BC

Responsibilities:

-Design, develop, and implement algorithms and models to address key issues on our e-commerce platform, such as search ranking, personalized recommendations, and ad targeting

-Conduct in-depth analysis and mining of large-scale data on our e-commerce platform to discover potential business opportunities and user behavior patterns, providing support for business decision-making

-Utilize web scraping and extensive in-house product data to build a large-scale standard product database, employing knowledge graph algorithms

-Optimize and improve existing algorithm models and systems continuously to enhance algorithm efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, thereby improving user experience and business performance

-Work on natural language processing and intent recognition to improve the accuracy and satisfaction of intelligent customer service solutions

-Write test cases to conduct algorithm testing and validation, promptly identify and resolve algorithm-related issues, including performance problems, error handling, and troubleshooting

-Work closely with our business partners to understand the data requirements and create models to improve the efficiency of our supply chain network

-Stay updated on the latest algorithm and technology developments, maintain awareness of industry trends, and apply them to our products and services to maintain a competitive edge in the e-commerce field

Qualifications:

-3 to 5 years of experience in data mining, algorithm design, or system architecture

-Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science (or equivalent years of experience)

-Demonstrated programming skills, proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, or Scala for large-scale data engineering tasks.

-Experience with building and deploying APIs and services is a plus.

-Prior experience in e-commerce algorithm projects is a plus

-Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
