Become an integral part of a professional airport safety and security team and help passengers and YYJ airport staff with wayfinding, access control, and other essential security services. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-profile environment where no two days are the same.

We are currently accepting applications for full-time, part-time, and casual/on-call positions, including:
• Patroller
• Shift Supervisor
• RAMP Security
• Security Operations Centre
• Public Engagement and Safety Officer

Wage: $22.15 - $24.87/hour
Training Wage: $19/hour

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside other airport services and be part of a collaborative safety team. As an Airport Security Guard, your main duties include proactively assisting with inquiries, identifying and addressing hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, conducting regular patrols of the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals access secure areas, and completing clear, detailed incident reports.

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
• Can drive a vehicle
• Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Are eligible to work in Canada.
• Have prior experience and a valid security license, which are considered an asset. If not, you're in luck! We'll help you acquire your security license!
Airport security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.

NICE TO HAVE:
• Valid Restricted Area Identification Card (Transport security Clearance) is preferred.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills, including working under pressure.
• Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma.
Education Requirements:
• Minimum High School Education
Additional Requirements:
• Legally Authorized to work in Canada
