Location Hybrid / Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$71,846.00 - $115,129.00 per annum. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES
Qualifications Education
• Master's degree in a Health Science, Education, Business or other relevant field.
• Professional Development related to project management and policy development considered an asset
Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a post-secondary, public sector, or complex organizational environment
• Experience or strong knowledge base in supporting planning, accreditation, quality assurance, or institutional research activities required is preferred
• Proven success in coordinating on time delivery with projects involving multiple stakeholders required
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities related to experiential learning theory and activities
Skills & Competencies
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze information, synthesize findings, and prepare clear reports
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and organizational tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, project tracking tools)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Additional Information
The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking an Accreditation Coordinator for the Mary Gordon Health Sciences Center for Experiential Learning.
This position takes effect September 1, 2026, for an initial one-year term with the possibility of extension depending on the outcomes achieved and additional funding. This role has 4 sections of time release available for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Reporting to the Dean, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating the overarching Health Sciences plan leading to the successful attainment of accreditation by a recognized accrediting body.
This will include, but not be limited to, collaboration within Health Sciences, Douglas College internal and external partners, and other experts to advance a cohesive framework (including the Center's mission, vision and values), to provide direction on future education planning, implementation and evaluation.
This role is outcomes-based. While some preparatory work may be completed remotely, the individual in this position is expected to have presence at the Coquitlam Campus on a regular basis. Travel may be required on occasion.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Experiential Learning Specialists, the Manager of Experiential Learning Operations, and the Health Sciences Coordinators. They will also be part of the Interactive Learning Committee and other committees as developed or relevant to the position (e.g., may need to report to HS Council and/or FEC ).
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Development Support
• Coordinate through collaboration within the Faculty of Health Sciences selected priority initiatives for the Mary Gordon Health Sciences Center for Experiential Learning, including timelines, deliverables, and milestones
• Support the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of identified plans, actions, and performance indicators related to planning and accreditation
• Conduct research, environmental scans, and data analysis to inform priorities and decision-making
• Prepare briefing materials, reports, dashboards, and presentations for committees and leadership
• Track progress on initiatives and support regular reporting and reviews as required.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
• Coordinate accreditation-related priority activities for the Mary Gordon Health Sciences Center for Experiential Learning's processes, and timelines in collaboration with academic departments, faculties, and external bodies
• Support the preparation, compilation, and submission of accreditation reports, self-studies, and evidence documentation
• Maintain accreditation documentation, records, and data repositories to support compliance and ongoing readiness
• Assist with planning and coordination of accreditation site visits, including schedules, materials, and stakeholder communications
• Support continuous improvement activities arising from accreditation findings and recommendations
Project & Committee Coordination
• Coordinate cross-functional projects involving faculty, administrators, staff, students, and external partners
• Support planning, scheduling, and documentation for committees related to planning, quality assurance, or accreditation
• Prepare agendas, minutes, action logs, and follow-up materials for meetings
• Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and support timely resolution
• Identify other relevant internal and external committees for consultation and liaison to accomplish outcomes
Communication & Partner Engagement
• Act as a point of contact for planning and accreditation-related inquiries
• Builds partner engagement in accreditation outcomes as required in a collaborative and open manner
• Liaise with internal and external partners to gather data, documentation, and input
• Support clear, timely, and consistent communication about planning initiatives and accreditation requirements
• Contribute to reports, web content, and internal communications as needed
Data, Systems & Documentation
• Support data collection, validation, and reporting related to strategic goals and accreditation standards
• Maintain accurate records, tracking tools, and project documentation
• Use institutional systems (e.g., planning software, document management platforms) to support coordination and reporting
Perform other duties as required
• Additional tasks and duties as required by the Dean of Health Sciences, the Associate Dean of Health Sciences.
